Water plants are one of the major design themes for Tiffany Studios lamps. The 20″ Lily Pad is unusual in that it depicts the surface of a pond that is completely covered with lily pads but there are no flowers present. It is also one of only a few Tiffany shade designs rendered in deep perspective, giving the piece a layered horizontal orientation that is is calm and tranquil. Shown on the striking Twisted Vine w/Arms and Rim (18″ tall to the shade support rim), this lamp was created in 2021 and is now in a local private collection.
