The generously proportioned 18″ Oak Leaf shade has a curved upper portion and straight sides, giving it a maximum of surface area. Bookmarked above and below with geometric rows, the swirling leaves and acorns are arranged decoratively rather than realistically in the wide floral band. The green leaves are tinged with amber, and the rich nut brown of the acorns stand out against the richly mottled background. This shade, commissioned in 2013 by a client in New York, is shown on the tall Budding Urn pottery base.
