This week at Century Studios we were busy working on several projects. Bill completed the layout/cutting/fitting for the 22″ Trumpet Vine shade and the next step of foiling all the pieces began.
After days spent wrapping the edge of every piece by hand with thin strips of copper foil, Irwin transferred each piece onto the lamp form in preparation to begin the soldering.
Our days at the studio usually involve multi tasking several projects and during the week we also completed a Square Turtleback base for a local client (10.5″ height to the arms, 17″ total lamp height as shown below with shade).
The bronze base has four large turtleback tiles that can be illuminated from within. The 16″ Woodbine shade shown in the photo is available for purchase from our studio.
