The 16″ Black Eyed Susan is one of several Tiffany Studios shade designs where clusters of flowers are presented simply against a geometric background. Eliminating the naturalistic setting, the groupings of flowers have the look of botanical drawings. The background glass shifts from white at the top down to a fresh, lightly mottled green. The classic lines of the Small Stick base (20″ tall) make if a perfect mate for most 16″ and 18″ shades. This lamp was created in 2006 and is in a private collection.
