The distinctive foliage and plentiful fruit produced by climbing grape vines were a popular motif in Tiffany windows and lamps. This 28″ Grape design is a rare variation on the 28″ Grape Trellis shade. We acquired the pattern 18 years ago from an original Tiffany shade in a local collection.
Grape clusters in purple, blue and red hang from the intertwining woody stems. The background is an unusual lightly textured Lins glass, and the leaves are chosen from a mix of mottled and rippled glasses. Created in 2002 as a showroom piece, this shade was purchased by a client in Iowa.
