The 18″ Oak Leaf is a formal looking shade with a playful side. The wildly swirling oak leaves and acorns are contained within the wide decorative band that is bookmarked by upper and lower sections of geometric tiles. The glass for the majority of the shade is a medium toned, mottled golden amber. Light green glass subtly mixed with amber was chosen for the leaves. Each acorn is a single piece of glass, so a brown glass with pronounced mottling was chosen in order to accentuate the cap of each nut. The shade is shown on the Library base (22.5″ tall). This lamp was commissioned by a client in Iowa.
