This week, we introduce the Grooved Base to our list of reproduction Tiffany Studios lamp bases. Cast in bronze using molds taken off an original example, this tall slender base is 26″ tall and works with most 18″ or 20″ shades. The base can also be used for 16″ shades to create a lamp with a unique profile. The bottom of the base features a nicely detailed, abstract petal or leaf motif.
We are showing the Grooved base with our recently completed 16″ Persian with Chain Mail shade. This perfect combination of shade and base lets the delicate chain mail float in the air between the shade and the table top. This complete lamp was commissioned by a Southern client.
