Hand made by Turner & Scratch Pottery, our Denslow Seahorse Vase is priced at $225.00. W. W. Denslow was a popular early 20th century children’s book and poster illustrator, who also worked with Elbert Hubbard and the Roycrofters. He signed his drawings with a distinctive seahorse, and is best known as the original illustrator of The Wizard of Oz. Taking this motif as inspiration, local artist Nick McArdell has created a vase with a vivid blue glaze.
Every day from now until December 23, Century Studios will showcase an item from our showroom here on our blog.
